Artemesia is a beautiful and impressive mare who is looking to have a bright future ahead of her with Terre D'Ange. Despite all the other dilutes, you don't really see many smokey creams - making her all the more unique. The combination of her impressive build and beautiful colouring make it impossible not to look. Artemesia is one of the horses coming to Terre D'Ange from my previous barns, and she has been with me for some time. She is the alpha mare in her group, and tends to want to be the alpha in all situations. This can sometimes come in the way of her training, with extra work often required to see her progress. Artemesia is an invaluable assest to Terre D'Ange. In the years to come she will be a magnificent competitor. In the years following her retirement, she will make a fantastic broodmare. Being a double dilute, she is guaranteed to produce a single dilute when mated to solid colours. So, people can look foward to lots of beautiful palomino, buckskin and smoky black foals in the future. For now though, I am content to let her have her youth and focus on her competition.

What's In A Name?: Artemesia Gentileschi, an artist of the Baroque era. She was one of the first women artists to paint major historical and religious artwork and receive recognition.
