Selenay is a gorgeous mare who brings some of my best Thoroughbred bloodlines from previous barns to Terre D'Ange, being the daughte of Sir Lancelot, a Grand Prix dressage champion, and Countessa. Selenay has all the beauty and grace one would expect from such a match, and performed beautifully under saddle in her dressage training. She has such a sweet and gentle nature, and is the happiest in her paddock with her friends or getting attention from her human buddies. It is this wonderful homebody nature that led to the decision to retire her from the dressage ring to become a broodmare. However, Selenay still enjoys regular rides around the stud when she is able, and is a lovely halter horse.
What's In A Name?: Selenay is the name the princess of Valdemar, who eventually becomes a wise and respected queen, in Mercedes Lackey's series of books.
